Anaesthesia Registered Veterinary Nurse

Salary: £31,500 to £34,000 Dependent on qualifications

Job description

The role of an anaesthesia Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) is vital in providing patient care to those requiring anaesthesia for imaging and surgery within the hospital.  It requires the post holder to work closely with our clinical team to include the specialists, residents, interns, Senior RVNs, RVNs and Veterinary Care Assistants (VCAs). It is essential that the post holder is driven and motivated to learn and develop their clinical nursing skills and knowledge to an advanced level.  The role requires dedication and hard work to ensure the delivery of the highest level of patient care. This role is specifically an anaesthesia-based role and is focussed on providing the best care to patients receiving anaesthesia. The RVN in this position will work closely with the Clinical Nursing Instructor in Anaesthesia and the Senior Clinicians – Anaesthesia, learning and using advanced nursing skills, problem-solving and often time-critical action to ensure the safety and welfare of all patients.
