Dr Daisy Norgate graduated from The Royal Veterinary College in 2012. She then spent two and a half years in mixed practice in Staffordshire dealing with all species. Following her time in first opinion practice, Daisy completed a one-year anaesthesia internship at the Small Animal Teaching Hospital of the University of Liverpool based in the Wirral, Cheshire. During her internship, she completed half of her Certificate in Advanced Veterinary Practice, which she intends to finish in the near future.
Following this, Daisy embarked on a career solely in anaesthesia and analgesia and started her three-year anaesthesia residency programme at the Royal Veterinary College, London in July 2016. During the residency, Daisy developed specific interests in airway management under anaesthesia, analgesia and management of cardiovascularly compromised patients requiring surgery.
Daisy joined AURA Veterinary as an anaesthetist in July 2019. She sat and passed her diploma exams in November 2020 and June 2021 and is now a European specialist in veterinary anaesthesia and analgesia.
